Survivorman is a Canadian Reality TV show that was created by Les Stroud. In each episode (Except in the behind the scenes episodes at the end of the season) Les must go out to a remote location with little or no food, water, shelter or vital survival gear. In each episode Les is given a few everyday items to survive with. He also tries to use as many different types of fire starters as possible to keep the show intersting. He is dropped off for 7 days alone (Usually 7 days but sometimes he calls it quits earlier when his life is in serious danger) with no camera crew. Yes, did I mention that he shoots his entire week without a camera crew? The crew only shoot the opening scenes and some ariel views at the start of the show but other than that Les has to record everything himself. He usually has 3-5 cameras and his entire camera gear pack weights in over sixty pounds. Each location and situation is different and each episode teaches you something new. Has often has bad luck with the weather in terms of rain. |
